The couple, appearing in Livingstone Local Court A3, revealed a surprising detail: they had engaged in se*ual activity the night before their court appearance.
This revelation came as Faustina Sikazimina, 35, sought a divorce from her husband, Mizinga Mwanza. However, Mwanza opposed the divorce, disclosing their recent intimacy and pleading for another chance at their marriage.
Senior Local Court Magistrate Fredrick Mainza, taken aback by this disclosure, interpreted it as a sign of continued affection between the couple.
Despite Sikazimina’s assertions that she had acquiesced to Mwanza’s advances under pressure and no longer wished to remain married, the court ordered a week-long adjournment to allow for further consideration.
