Yo Maps Yo is the Edgar Lungu of the music industry. He’s not handling his PR management well. The most important aspect of fame is the fans, especially the critics because they are the ones that make you the most relevant. When you respond to critics in trying to verbally hurt them, you include even those who genuinely follow you in your utterances.
There is collateral damage. His wife, if she cared deeply about his career, she would advise him better on how to address his critics. From where I stand, she may not be in for the money, but she’s definitely in for the fame and it may end where the fame ends. Her body may be growing but her brain has stayed stagnant. She’s is still very childish and she must detach herself from her husband’s career if she genuinely loves him or concerned about his career. She should focus on managing their home.
Kandeke may have helped him when he was upcoming. But he may also be the one to help his career go down if they continue galivanting on this path. Maybe his strength in helping upcoming artist but he’s not intellectually and mentally capable of managing a big artist. He should have detached himself from Yo Maps and look for another upcoming artist to help grow. Maybe he should specialize in helping upcoming artists.
Yo Maps can thank him for helping him when he was growing by giving him free tickets to his gigs. Kidist kifle and Dj-Kandeke are supposed to be the two people safeguarding Yo Maps career but instead they are putting in into disrepute. Their pride, indiscipline and ego will make Yo Maps pay the price one day. But mostly, it’s their ignorance.
