Zambian rapper Chef 187 revealed that the first time Chile One approached him for a collaboration, he advised the artist to change his stage name.
The reason behind Chef 187 advice was due to the fact that there was already a prominent businessman with the same name operating in the Copperbelt province of Zambia.
Chef 187, whose real name is Kondwani Kaira, is known for his thoughtful and skillful approach to music, and his collaborations with other artists have often produced some of the most memorable and popular tracks in Zambian hip hop.
In the interview where he revealed his advice to Chile One, Chef expressed his belief that it is important for artists to choose unique and memorable stage names, especially if they hope to make a significant impact in the industry.
He also explained that he felt that Chile One‘s stage name could be confusing to fans, given the existence of the businessman with the same name in the Copperbelt.
