Film producer David Kazadi and model Mwaka Halwindi have appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court facing charges related to the alleged production and possession of obscene materials.
The two appeared alongside co-accused Ruby Muzandu, who is facing separate allegations involving the possession and circulation of the same materials.
According to court documents, Muzandu is accused of distributing the alleged content through a WhatsApp group reportedly known as “Trip to South Africa” and being in possession of the materials.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred in Lusaka between January 2023 and June 2025.
The matter was brought before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court where the accused persons formally appeared to answer to the charges.
Under Zambian law, the production, possession, and distribution of obscene or pornographic materials are criminal offences and may attract penalties upon conviction.
The case has generated significant public interest due to the profiles of some of the individuals involved and the broader conversation surrounding the circulation of explicit content on social media platforms and messaging applications.
Court proceedings are expected to continue as investigations and legal processes progress.
