Zambia has continued on the path to preserve it’s sovereignty by maintaining the peace our forefathers fought for – back in in 1964 up to date.
Sad to note though, that those who fought harder are not with us today, for example like our founding father, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda – Zambia’s first republican president. May his soul rest in peace.
As we celebrate today’s Independence Day, lets remember that this peace we have and freely enjoying, came at a price. The price meant the self sacrificing unselfish Zambians who gave their blood to this cause so that you and I may enjoy it.
