Watch : Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema address Zambian students who where trapped in Ukraine
The raging war in Ukraine that has seen Russian troops invading them has had a great ripple effect. Many trapped within and can’t move out of the country to a safer place. That includes the foreign people that are in Ukraine for various reasons. Foreign people also includes many Africans that are caught up in the cross fire. some are hiding in bunkers and basements to protect themselves from random bombing attacks from the Russian side.
The Zambian Government, however, has made some advances to evacuate the trapped students safely back home. And just to offer surety, President Hakainde Hichilema AKA Bally had a Zoom meeting with the students in that country to assure them that they’ll be home soon.
In the video we can hear Joyous exclamations and shouts, cheering the president. indeed, they feel safe. Bally is at hand securing his Children. A clear show of concern to his Citizenry. Long Live Bally!
