General Kanene is usually associated with the name Legend, given his status in The Zambian music industry.
An artist who emerged when the Zambian music was taking shape & mistakenly thought to be a 1 hit wonder. General Kanene stands against all odds & has also withstand the test of time.
Starting his legendary journey back in 2006-2007, with his debut song dubbed “Nchito Ya Mwamuna” , he caught the attention of many people with his unique style.
Kanene quickly climbed the ranks & become a house hold name that still ringers up to date. He met Dj Khumalo who become his promoter & Jerry Fingers who become his signature producer. Just like that the Legend blood took off.

General Kanene as a living legend, like many other artists has met his wrong side of the law, which subsequently made him to be jailed for 18 Years on charges that he had abused a 14 Year old girl back in 2015.
Since his release, General Kanene has seized the opportunity to become a powerful advocate against crimes targeting women. This further shaped the artist into a more productive one.
