Zambian veteran musician General Kanene is continuing to use his music as a platform for peace, unity and national togetherness with the release of his latest song, “Stop Political Violence.”
The new record follows closely after his previous release, “Tisayambe Kumenyana (Say No To Political Violence),” further strengthening the artist’s growing campaign against political violence, division and intolerance in Zambia.
On “Stop Political Violence,” General Kanene delivers a direct appeal to citizens to reject violence regardless of their political affiliations. The veteran musician uses his voice to encourage Zambians to embrace peace, tolerance and mutual respect, particularly during a politically charged period.
Rather than focusing on political differences, the song highlights the importance of unity and coexistence, reminding listeners that political affiliations should never become a reason for citizens to turn against one another.
