I Don’t Agree With Some Part Of ‘Somone – Namadingo Video
Namadingo has shared his views on the song “Somone” by Yo Maps, featuring Tay Grin, who is also from Malawi.
While the top-selling Malawian singer acknowledged that “Somone” is a hit and one of the biggest songs around, he expressed disagreement with some of the lyrics.Â
Specifically, Namadingo took issue with a part of the song where Yo Maps sings about having white neighbors, suggesting that one of Zambia’s freedom fighters, who played a significant role in liberating the country from colonial rule, would not agree with this sentiment.
Namadingo emphasized he means no beef with Yo Maps. However, he did note that despite his attempts to reach out, he has only met Yo Maps once and they have not spoken since.
