Zambian artist James Sakala recently opened up about his decision to marry at the age of 40, revealing his reasons during an appearance on Diamond TV’s “On The Table”. Sakala shared that one of the main factors was simply not finding the right partner earlier in life. He also admitted that financial stability played a significant role in delaying his marriage, as he wanted to ensure he had achieved certain milestones, such as owning a home.
Sakala, however, recounted a pivotal conversation with an elderly man who changed his perspective on marriage. The man advised him not to wait until he had millions, as starting life together with a partner fosters mutual respect. This new outlook reshaped Sakala’s views, leading him to realize that building together with a spouse holds greater value than waiting for complete financial security.
Reflecting on this advice, Sakala said, “I have seen this happen to a lot of people who are well to do with a lot of problems,” emphasizing the importance of mutual growth in a marriage.
