Malawian legendary singer and songwriter Katelele Ching’oma passed away in the early hours of Today. It is reported that Katelele Ching’oma has been battling an illness for so long.Â
Known for his breakthrough in 2009 with popular songs like “Asowe,” Katelele continued to create numerous hit songs throughout his career.
His untimely demise comes as a significant loss to the Malawian music industry. The news of his death follows closely after the passing of another Malawian music icon. Thomas Chibade died late last year of 2023.Â
The music community is deeply saddened by the loss, and heartfelt condolences are pouring in as they mourn the departure of their beloved legend.
