Malawian legendary singer Thomas Chibade is dead reports show as he was reported to have battled an illness.
Reports show that he was sick the past weeks, he had a problem with his stomach which appeared swollen.
Thomas Chibade is the second Malawian music icon to die in the month of October 2023. Barely a week just from burying Atoht Manje, sadly Che Nkhumba bites the dust.
Thomas Chibade is one of the pioneers of music of Malawi that broke across Africa with hit songs like Our Love, Kuno Niku Manda, Freedom Fighter & many more.
This sad news has really shocked the music community in Malawi & across Africa. The singer focused his music mainly on issues that people went through.
He was a fearless singer, his lyrics were inspiring as they pin pointed to the message that was pleasant to the ear.
Che Nkhumba will be greatly missed, the fans Across Zambia join hands to mourn our beloved musician. May God strengthen the family, rest well Mfumu. We will miss you, this death is really painful. Words can not express our feeling.
