Road Accident Claims Lives of King Dandy
The Zambian music industry is mourning the untimely death of Wesley Chibambo, better known as King Dandy or Dandy Krazy, who passed away following a tragic road accident on New Yearβs Eve. The beloved artist succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of January 2, 2025, leaving a void in the hearts of his fans and peers.
King Dandy was traveling from Lusaka to Kitwe for a performance when the accident occurred near Kapiri. The tragedy also claimed the life of his backup singer and rising artist, Christopher Muyembe, popularly known as Chris Jews, who died on the spot. King Dandy was rushed to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, where he underwent emergency brain surgery but, despite medical efforts, was pronounced dead at 01:42 AM.
