Budding Zambian rapper Way Dee has released a new music video titled “Nkankala Free”, a love-themed track that puts a humorous spin on the familiar conversations between couples.
The song follows a man who constantly tells his significant other that he will call her when he has some free time, making the promise of a phone call an ongoing part of their relationship. However, the story takes an interesting turn when Xaven comes in with her own perspective, pointing out that the woman, too, has moments when she can only make contact when she is free. This playful exchange gives the track its distinctive twist.
The music video, directed by Diego Clement, brings the collaboration to life as Way Dee and Xaven deliver their take on the realities of love, communication and being busy.
