“You Were My Home”: T-Sean’s Heartbreaking Tribute to Wife Sharai Moves Mourners

T-Sean’s Tribute to Late Wife Sharai Chama Mulonda Mulenga Read During Funeral Service
An emotional tribute written by Zambian musician T-Sean was read on his behalf by Jonathan Ngoma during the funeral service of his late wife, Sharai Chama Mulonda Mulenga, at Lilayi Seventh-day Adventist Church.
In the tribute, T-Sean described Sharai as his “backbone,” his “biggest cheerleader,” and the one place where he always felt safe.
He recalled meeting her in 2010, long before his music career took off, saying she believed in him when he was still a young man with dreams.
“You weren’t meeting an artist. You were meeting a young man full of dreams and you believed in him before the world ever did,” he wrote.
T-Sean said Sharai loved him into becoming the man he is today, adding that together they built a life and were blessed with two children, Sean and Shemaiah.
He also shared one of his favourite memories of meeting Sharai’s mother for the first time, recalling a humorous exchange that has stayed with him over the years.
Describing the pain of losing his wife, T-Sean wrote that she was more than just his wife.
“You were never just my wife. You were my home. You were the reason I could stand tall on the days I wanted to give up.”
Although he admitted he does not know how to do life without her, T-Sean said he would continue moving forward for the sake of their children, believing that Sharai would have wanted him to keep going.
He ended the tribute by thanking her for believing in him before success came, for giving him a family, and for the love they shared.
“Rest peacefully, my love. Until we meet again.”
