After 13 years away, Zone Fam has returned with the same core members who helped establish the group as one of Zambia’s most influential hip-hop collectives.
The comeback brings together Jay Rox, Tim FKA Thugga, Yung Verbal and Sam Sakala FKA Dope G, marking the return of a group whose music and achievements left a lasting mark on Zambia’s hip-hop scene.
The group made history as the first Zambian music group to win a Channel O Music Video Award, an achievement that demonstrated the international potential of Zambian hip-hop.
Now, 13 years later, Jay Rox, Tim FKA Thugga, Yung Verbal and Sam Sakala FKA Dope G are back together and opening this new chapter with “One Fight.”
“One Fight” also gives fans an opportunity to hear a different side of the four members.
The song reflects the growth they have experienced during their years apart, particularly in their faith and relationship with God. Each member uses the record to express gratitude and acknowledge God for guiding them through their individual journeys.
Rather than making their comeback solely about nostalgia, Zone Fam have chosen to return with a message of faith, gratitude and perseverance.
The comeback is accompanied by a music video directed by Lanzee Copper, bringing the message of “One Fight” to life visually.
With Jay Rox, Tim FKA Thugga, Yung Verbal and Sam Sakala FKA Dope G back together, the visuals add another layer to what is already a highly anticipated return for fans of the group.
